Short description
This TC will focus on assessing the application of gaiasense smart farming solution by olive producers in the Messini region of Peloponnese, which aim to increase their production efficiency and reduce their overall production costs. Gaisense is a holistic smart farming solution that combines multiple types of data (IoT soil and meteorological data, EO images, soil analyses, farm diaries, etc.) and agronomic knowledge to produce advice on irrigation, crop management and fertilisation.
Major goals
The goal is to help olive producers to reduce the application of inputs (water, fertilizers, pesticides), thus reducing production costs and the environmental footprint of production, as well as improving the quality of their products.
