This session reviewed QuantiFarm’s main communication and community-building achievements and confirmed the final steps needed before project closure. Partners covered progress on the DEC Plan, updated communication assets and website improvements, ongoing content and KPI tracking, and key outputs such as podcast series, newsletters, and publication support. The discussion also noted the project’s active presence at major events and collaborations backed by signed cooperation agreements, and aligned partners on the exploitation of Key Exploitable Results and the remaining actions and deadlines for final reporting.
QuantiFarm Final Plenary Meeting: Day 2

On 4 February 2026, the QuantiFarm consortium met in Cremona, Italy, for Day 2 of the Final Plenary Meeting. The day’s programme moved from technical progress updates into the “last-mile” priorities: validating policy recommendations with partner and test case input, consolidating communication and exploitation activities, confirming management and reporting steps toward closure, and aligning on how QuantiFarm results will remain active after the project ends on 31 March 2026.
What was discussed by partner teams
Policy making and capacity building, led by Confagricoltura and Neuropublic
This session focused on two closely connected priorities: strengthening advisory capacity for digital farming and ensuring policy recommendations are not only evidence-based but also validated for acceptability and implementability. The session included an interactive validation exercise to refine and prioritise the project’s policy recommendations, responding directly to the 2nd Review Meeting request for more structured policy outputs and concrete feedback from test cases. The approach captured partner and test case input (priority/impact, acceptability, and ease of implementation), to inform a prioritisation matrix and strengthen the final policy package with quantified validation results.
Communication, community building, and exploitation, led by reframe.food
Project management, financial finalisation and reporting readiness, led by GAIA Epicheirein and Neuropublic
This session addressed the operational “closure mechanics” that must be aligned at the consortium level: project management status, financial coordination, and the final payment process, readiness steps for the Final Report and Final Review Meeting, and key decisions taken through the General Assembly. The emphasis was on ensuring that deliverables, reporting inputs, and partner responsibilities are fully synchronised, so the final reporting package is complete, consistent, and submitted on time.
Sustainability and continuation: keeping QuantiFarm alive after March 2026
A dedicated session brought all partners together to agree on how QuantiFarm’s key results will remain accessible, maintainable, and useful after the project ends. The consortium reviewed the post-project sustainability roadmap for the Toolkit and related outputs, including the planned release of open-source components under the European Union Public Licence (EUPL), sharing of code and datasets through recognised repositories, and the continued operation and maintenance of the Toolkit by GAIA. Partners also aligned on post-project promotion, and on the conditions required for exploitation of the Toolkit as an integrated service, including the need for clear operating agreements among core development partners.
Continuation pathways and new collaboration opportunities
The discussion concluded with a forward-looking exchange on continuation opportunities beyond the current grant, including relevant upcoming Horizon Europe calls and a potential follow-up initiative focused on improving efficiency and sustainability in the use of agricultural production factors through pilots, innovation maturation, and adoption scaling.
