On October 14-15, 2024, QuantiFarm made a significant impact at the Synergy Days Conference held at the World Trade Center in Barcelona. Organised by SmartAgriHubs, the event gathered over 400 participants from the agri-food sector, showcasing 40 European research projects and, for the first time, European Digital Innovation Hubs. The conference featured discussions, interactive workshops, live demonstrations, and more, providing a platform for exploring the latest developments in digital agriculture.
One of the standout moments was the QuantiFarm Toolkit workshop titled “An All-in-One Service for Digital Agriculture 2 Technology Solutions”. Presented by Georgios Charvalis from NEUROPUBLIC, the session attracted over 50 engaged stakeholders. Attendees explored the toolkit’s extensive features, learning how its digital solutions empower farmers and agronomists by simplifying data collection, enhancing decision-making, and optimising farm management practices. The workshop’s success highlighted the growing interest in smart farming tools and their potential to transform the sector.
Our Project Coordinator, Dionysios Solomos from GAIA ΕΠΙΧΕΙΡΕΙΝ, delivered an insightful and inclusive 3-minute pitch presentation during the first day’s plenary session, which covered:
His presentation garnered enthusiastic applause, reflecting the audience’s engagement with QuantiFarm’s innovative approaches.
This year, QuantiFarm shared a booth with the EU project FARMTOPIA, with which we share common ambitions and concepts in advancing sustainable digital agriculture. FARMTOPIA focuses on democratising digital farming for small farms, addressing the challenges they face in accessing cost-effective digital solutions. The joint booth attracted numerous stakeholders, sparking insightful discussions around the future of small-scale farming and how both projects can contribute to bridging the digital divide in agriculture.
By fostering a collaborative spirit with FARMTOPIA, both projects highlighted the importance of co-creating Agricultural Digital Solutions (ADS) that are tailored to small farms, helping reduce costs, enhance sustainability, and improve the overall transparency of agricultural value chains. This shared vision resonated with visitors and strengthened QuantiFarm’s presence in the digital agriculture landscape.
QuantiFarm’s influence extended to the Smart Farming panel, moderated by Vanja Biševac (CEMA), where Filippo Renga from Politecnico di Milano, one of our esteemed partners, contributed to a discussion alongside experts from the European Commission’s DG AGRI and ANSEMAT. This session explored how cutting-edge technologies are shaping the future of sustainable agriculture, emphasising the importance of collaboration among technology providers, farmers, and policy makers. QuantiFarm’s solutions and their role in addressing these challenges were spotlighted as crucial to fostering smart farming innovations.
Synergy Days 2024 provided a dynamic platform for workshops, pitches, and discussions focused on digital transformation and sustainability in agriculture. QuantiFarm’s participation aligned perfectly with the event’s goals of fostering innovation, building connections, and driving actionable solutions in the agricultural sector. Our continued presence at Synergy Days reaffirms QuantiFarm’s commitment to leading the way in smart farming solutions, contributing to a sustainable and efficient future for agriculture.
