QuantiFarm seizes another opportunity to create new collaborations and synergies! Let us take you through the newly established QuantiFarm’s synergy with the EU funded project ICAERUS!
ICAERUS and QuantiFarm, have both kicked-off in July 2022 and share common goals and values related to digital agriculture. Establishing a synergy among them, means that they can easily collaborate, bringing added value to the Digital Agricultural Technologies sector. As Aikaterini Kasimati, Agricultural Engineer at Agricultural University of Athens (AUA) highlights, the two projects can contribute significantly to each others objectives. With QuantiFarm generating a framework for the assessment of DATs and ICAERUS proposing new technologies related to drones -either hardware or software-, the two projects can easily exchange knowledge sources and information, in order to optimise their operations.
The synergy of this partnership lies also in its capacity to merge the strengths of both initiatives, leveraging their expansive networks to promote collaboration across various tiers. Icaerus, renowned for its cutting-edge drone technologies, stands to gain substantial advantages from QuantiFarm’s assessment framework. This framework encompasses crucial elements like cost-benefit analysis, aligning with Icaerus’ objectives.
Both projects are also poised to unite networks and facilitate collaboration on multiple fronts, capitalizing on shared use cases and data collection endeavors. Notably, QuantiFarm is presently executing 30 distinct test cases spanning across 20 European countries, while Icaerus has concentrated on 5 use cases. Additionally, Icaerus has implemented 2 distinct Open Call types, namely PUSH and PULL, aimed at bolstering innovation in agriculture through drone technology.
