The Synergy Days Conference 2023 in Thessaloniki, concluded on the 4th and 5th of October and was nothing short of remarkable! This event gathered stakeholders from across Europe and was an opportunity for innovative minds to converge and discuss the future of digital technologies in agriculture. To boost the project’s performance in this exciting conference, a great number of the project’s partners came together from different corners in Europe, including our project Coordinator Nikolaos Marianos from Gaia Epicheirein and members from the partners: Politecnico di Milano, Foodscale Hub, Augmenta, ART21, ANAMOB and  Anysolution. Our Project Officer, Doris Marquardt, from the European Commission honoured us with her presence as well.

QuantiFarm Highlights during the event

Representing the QuantiFarm project, Project Coordinator Nikolaos Marianos took center stage during the Plenary Session to share the project’s inspiring goals and mission with a captivated audience, giving a 3-minute pitch presentation.

The excitement continued as we geared up for an insightful workshop on day 2, titled “Digital technologies in agriculture: a framework to assess their economic, social and environmental impacts.” This workshop, led by Francesco Parigi, who represented our partner organisation Politecnico di Milano, marked a great opportunity for all stakeholders to delve into the assessment framework – developed as part of the the project -, designed for quantifying the impact and efficacy of digital solutions in agriculture. This framework is grounded in the Triple Bottom Line approach, where the three key dimensions of sustainability are considered: environmental, economic and social. During the workshop, key performance indicators developed to evaluate the impacts of digital agricultural technologies were presented, along with details on the methodological approach behind the framework. The participants had the opportunity to actively engage in the discussion during the Q&A session that followed, thus fostering the exchange of insights and perspectives on the costs and benefits of digital agriculture solutions. Thank you all for contributing to the success of our workshop!

All visitors had the chance to engage further with the QuantiFarm project by visiting stand 22 in the exhibition area! In our interactive booth, participants could have a glimpse of our project, by watching our videos and interviews with the project’s team members, read our posters and our brochures and, of course, discuss with some of the project’s representatives about our missions, goals and next steps.

Thank you SmartAgriHubs for organising this event that gave us the opportunity to: 📍 Get to know 27 unique EU-funded projects. 📍 Participate in multiple insightful workshops. 📍 Get a glimpse of the latest trends in the technology advancements of the agrifood & agritech sector. 📍 Create countless collaboration opportunities and lasting memories!
