The excitement continued as we geared up for an insightful workshop on day 2, titled “Digital technologies in agriculture: a framework to assess their economic, social and environmental impacts.” This workshop, led by Francesco Parigi, who represented our partner organisation Politecnico di Milano, marked a great opportunity for all stakeholders to delve into the assessment framework – developed as part of the the project -, designed for quantifying the impact and efficacy of digital solutions in agriculture. This framework is grounded in the Triple Bottom Line approach, where the three key dimensions of sustainability are considered: environmental, economic and social. During the workshop, key performance indicators developed to evaluate the impacts of digital agricultural technologies were presented, along with details on the methodological approach behind the framework. The participants had the opportunity to actively engage in the discussion during the Q&A session that followed, thus fostering the exchange of insights and perspectives on the costs and benefits of digital agriculture solutions.
