QuantiFarm at Synergy Days: Showcasing the project's mission
We’re honoured to announce that QuantiFarm will be participating in the upcoming Synergy Days event, on October 4 & 5, 2023, in Thessaloniki, Greece. This is a unique opportunity for us to engage with multiple stakeholders from various sectors and showcase our efforts towards assessing digital agriculture solutions in real life conditions.
Synergy Days Conference: An opportunity for knowledge exchange
The Synergy Days Conference, organised by the Horizon Europe SmartAgriHubs project, aims to create a space for agrifood and agritech stakeholders to meet, debate and exchange knowledge, this time in the heart of the Hellenic world in the city of Thessaloniki. Synergy Days will be the most important conference connecting the digital innovators of the European agri-food sector. You can expect not only workshops organised by the several EU projects and in-depth technical sessions but also networking opportunities and interactive panels.
QuantiFarm participation in Synergy Days
QuantiFarm will be actively participating in the Synergy Days Conference, leading the workshop “Digital technologies in agriculture: a framework to assess their economic, social and environmental impacts”, which promises to delve into the assessment framework – developed as part of the QuantiFarm project – designed for quantifying the impact and efficacy of digital solutions in agriculture. This framework is grounded in the Triple Bottom Line approach, where the three key dimensions of sustainability are considered: environmental, economic and social. Drawing from 30 heterogenous test cases located in different biogeographical areas of Europe, a set of relevant performance indicators is proposed. This approach allows for a wide-ranging application of the model, encompassing a multitude of agri-food sectors, including arable farming, horticulture, livestock, aquaculture and beekeeping. During the workshop, key performance indicators developed to evaluate the impacts of digital agricultural technologies will be presented, along with details on the methodological approach behind the framework. Participants will have the opportunity to actively engage in the discussion, thus fostering the exchange of insights and perspectives on the costs and benefits of digital agriculture solutions. QuantiFarm will also be presented in the Pitch Synergy Projects Plenary Session, where the Project Cooordinator, Nikolaos Marianos from Gaia Epicherein, will briefly mention the project’s ambitious mission.
